For a decade, MICSports was the agency in charge of managing Pau Gasol’s academy. A summer basketball camp held in Barcelona. The Pau Gasol Academy brings together more than 400 participants from all over the world who, for a week, enjoyed personalized training sessions, values and nutrition training led by the Gasol Foundation, and recreational activities.
In 2020, due to the pandemic, MICSports and Pau Gasol created an innovative modality at a time when in-person sports activities were prohibited around the world. Thus was born the Pau Gasol Academy Virtual, a free online campus that opened a window of opportunity for young people from all over the world who wanted to improve their basketball level. A total of 10,000 registrants were reached who enjoyed daily webinars, a gamification system and virtual sessions with qualified coaches who provided feedback on the videos sent by participants through the online platform.
MICSports accompanied Pau Gasol every summer throughout his professional career, helping him to realize his personal projects linked to basketball and training.
